The Pink Full Moon, the ruler of the Easter calendar
The full moon in April also plays an important role in the Christian calendar. It allows you to set the date of Easter. This holiday is celebrated on the first Sunday after the "Easter Moon", i.e. the full moon closest to the spring equinox. It can fall between March 22 and April 25. In 2026, Easter will be celebrated on Sunday, April 5, just a few days after this full moon.

- The "full pink moon" does not change color. Its name comes from Native American traditions and the flowering of spring phlox.
- It will take place on April 2, 2026 at 4:11 a.m. (Paris time). It will be visible on the night of April 1 to 2 and the evening of April 2.
- In the Christian calendar, it also determines the date of Easter, which this year is set for April 5, 2026.
