Remarkable 360-Degree Rotating Home

“I’ve got tired of her complaints and frequent refurbishing of our family house,” he once joked, “so I said: I’ll build you a rotating house so you can spin it as you wish.”

And that’s exactly what he did.

A 360-Degree Engineering Marvel
Without formal architectural or engineering training, Kusic designed and built the rotating house himself.

The structure sits on a 7-meter axis and is powered by electric motors. In a brilliant display of resourcefulness, he incorporated wheels salvaged from an old military transport vehicle to support the rotation mechanism.

The results are astonishing:

At its slowest setting, the house completes a full rotation in 24 hours.
At its fastest speed, it can spin completely around in just 22 seconds.
Imagine sipping your morning coffee with one view — and enjoying sunset from a completely different panorama, all without leaving your living room.

Six Years of Determination
This project wasn’t easy. It took six years to complete.

During that time, Kusic faced serious health challenges, including heart problems that required hospitalization. Yet even in the hospital, his mind remained focused on the house.

He reportedly asked doctors to prolong his life long enough to finish the project because, as he put it, “Nobody will know how to complete it.”

That level of dedication transforms this story from a quirky engineering feat into something deeply personal.
