When Melissa Gilbert met Rob Lowe in the early 80s, she was already famous for her role as Laura Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie. He is one of the most prominent young leads in Hollywood thanks to his appearances in The Outsiders and soon in the Brat Pack gang.
